No bank connection. No credentials. No selling your data. Here is exactly how your information flows through Piggey — and what we deliberately never collect.

We discard your original file
CSV import happens in your browser. Only the transaction rows you need are saved. We never keep the raw upload on our servers.
We don't sell your data
Your transaction history is not for sale, not for ads, and not a revenue stream. We make money when you choose Pro — not by monetizing your finances.

Security built in, not bolted on
Your data stays yours
Every database row is tied to your account. Other users cannot see your transactions, accounts, or reports — access is enforced on every API request.
Encrypted in transit
All traffic between your browser and Piggey travels over HTTPS. Standard for modern apps, non-negotiable for financial data.
Encrypted at rest
Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1, which encrypts data at rest on their infrastructure. We don't operate our own bare-metal servers.
AI with zero-data retention
When you use Penny or AI reports, relevant context is sent to our AI provider to generate a response — under zero-data-retention (ZDR) agreements. They do not store your data or use it to train their models.
Authentication by Clerk
Sign-in and account security are handled by Clerk, a dedicated auth provider. Multi-factor authentication is available on your account.
Delete your data
Clear all financial data from Settings at any time. For full account erasure including billing history, contact us — we'll handle it.

Frequently asked questions
Does Piggey connect to my bank?
No. You download a CSV export from your bank's website and import it yourself. Piggey never asks for your bank password or uses account-linking aggregators like Plaid.
Does Piggey store my original CSV file?
No. Your file is parsed in the browser; only the transaction rows needed for the app are sent to our servers. The raw upload is never persisted.
Do you sell or share my financial data?
No. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your transaction data for third-party advertising. We share data with subprocessors only as needed to run the service — see the vendor list on this page.
What happens when I use Penny or AI reports?
Relevant transaction context and your message are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. Providers operate under zero-data-retention agreements — they do not retain your data or train on it. You can use Piggey without AI features entirely.
How do I delete my data?
Use "Clear all data" in Settings to remove your financial records immediately. To delete your full account including billing records, email us at support@piggey.ai.
How do I report a security vulnerability?
Email security@piggey.ai. We take responsible disclosure seriously and will respond promptly.
