Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Piggey.ai (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Piggey.ai is a personal finance tool that lets you import transaction data, organize spending, detect recurring charges, build reports, and receive AI-assisted insights. The Service is for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Not financial advice. Piggey.ai does not provide tax, investment, legal, or accounting advice. Outputs—including from AI features—are for informational purposes only. You are responsible for your financial decisions. Consult qualified professionals before acting on any information from the Service.

Not a bank. We are not a bank, credit union, payment processor, or money transmitter. We do not hold your funds or initiate payments on your behalf. You import data you obtain from your financial institutions.

You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at support@piggey.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You retain ownership of the data you upload. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that data solely to operate and improve the Service, including sending relevant portions to AI providers when you use AI features.

You agree that:

• You have the right to import and use the data you provide
• You will not upload unlawful, misleading, or malicious content
• You will verify important figures against your official bank records

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
• Overload or disrupt our infrastructure
• Resell or sublicense the Service without permission

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. Do not rely on it as a sole source of truth for taxes, compliance, or major financial decisions. You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before acting on them.

We strive to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice. We may update these Terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT DATA IMPORTS WILL BE COMPLETE OR ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100), IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID FOR THE SERVICE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your data, or your violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms or for operational reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought in the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
